Royalene Lisle – Commercial & Business Services Manager
Royalene Lisle Royalene has over 20 years’ experience in the maintenance and construction industry having previously worked for private and public companies in senior roles managing administration, finance and commercial functions for the business.  Royalene’s extensive experience includes all aspects of business administration and finance, legislative compliance, strategic planning, project/contract management and change management.  This practical experience is underpinned by studies in Business, Accounting and Management.
Chris Skerman – General Manager
Chris Skerman Chris Skerman started with Aestec as a Site Manager in March 2009.  On the 23rd of March 2011, Chris was appointed to the role of General Manager.  Before commencing employment with Aestec, Chris was employed by one of our major clients (Rio Tinto) for a period of 12 years. During this time of employment at Boyne Smelters Ltd, Chris gained invaluable experience whilst performing Crew Leader and Superintendent roles in both Operational and Maintenance environments. It is with this experience and knowledge that Chris has played an integral role in the growth and development of Aestec by securing contracts with major industrial sites in the Gladstone region.
Nathan Parnaby - Project Manager
Nathan Parnaby

Nathan first started working for Aestec as a plumbing/Gasfitting apprentice, and then went on to complete a carpentry apprenticeship, with this duel trade and the exposure to many other facets of work fronts, Nathan soon progressed to supervising many projects that has earned the well-deserved title of a Project Manager. Nathan’s sharp mind allows his work to flourish, with positive production rates whilst maintaining superb safety records in the field, his respect from fellow manager’s and staff is well deserved.

 

Robert McGill – Project Manager
Robert McGill

Rob's Open Builders Licence and extensive work history has shaped him into a dynamic and highly proficient project manager.
Robert has a vast knowledge of building and construction and the attention to detail required to ensuring site works progresses according to client’s wishes and to plan and specifications provided, with a safety first attitude paramount. 

He has managed projects ranging in value from $0.5 million to $20 million, in Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory. Working for Aestec for close to 3 years, Rob has gained a fell founded respect from Team members, Staff and Client.
Doug Deakin - Managing Director
Doug Deakin

Doug is a local, trade based accomplished businessman with many years of Industrial experience. Aestec was established in 2002. Since then the company has expanded rapidly and with great success to become Gladstone’s leading Industrial Maintenance and Construction Company

Chris Wratten – Project Manager
Chris Wratten

Working in the Sheetmetal and Steel Fabrication industry for 26 years, Chris excels in the world of Innovation and product development.
His technical career has taken Chris not only around Australia but also throughout south east Asia, where the difficult skills of communication and interpreting have left the mark of a top leader.

In the years Chris has been with Aestec, he has grown our ranks of not only numbers but a skill level of tradesman surpassing most. Industrial sheet metal is various and complicated, resulting the requirement of a leader being able to educate and coach his team members whilst still producing positive production outcomes, Chris does this with a coolness and efficiency to be proud of.
James Deakin - Project Manager
James Deakin James Deakin started his career at Aestec as an apprentice plumber. After finishing his plumbing apprenticeship James moved straight into a carpentry apprenticeship which he successfully completed. In 2010 James’s development seen him move into the Plumbing supervisors roll at BSL. During the time in his roles at Aestec he has finished his carpentry and plumbing apprenticeships, attained a Type B gas licence, Certificate IV in Training and Education and he is now studying a Diploma in Project Management. All of his dedication to his roles and additional study saw James promoted to the role of Site Manager at BSL in March 2012. James is a very skilled and experienced Manager at Aestec who continues to grow daily
Steve Howell – Workshop Manager

Steve Howell

Steve Howell has been with Aestec for 3 years and is our Workshop Manager. His experience is vast including 5 years in Mining and Refining and 6 years in Construction and Piping. He is committed to his work and has supervised many Construction Jobs. Safety is his first priority and his vision is to see the Aestec Workshop become a preferred supplier for the Gladstone region and beyond. His solid work ethic and honest nature makes him a huge asset to Aestec Services.

John Andrews - Project Manager
John Andrews

John has 19 years’ experience in the building and construction industry specialising in high rise and commercial developments. He has a strong drive for success. He expects his team to provide the highest quality service and safety standard on any project large or small. Meeting Client demand is an integral part of his success plan for Aestec to ensure growth and opportunity.
